The Man, The Book and My “Arsehole” :p

The Man:

Gareth “Controversial” Cliff  <- Love him or hate him.. It is difficult to ignore him

He has opinions about EVERYTHING, and does not discriminate when it come to tongue lashing.. we all get it. The big, the small, the ugly, the beautiful, the rich, the poor, the smart and the stupid.. so no special love for anyone.

And now he has captured all the “love” and put it in a book

The Book:

OK, so I stared at the book for a day or two before wanting to open it. I knew it was going to make me angry to read it but I was also very curious to read what he had to say. Because lets face it. We all have opinions.. for instance, my entire Blog is an opinion based web log of thoughts, rants and ponderings. And I think the only reason he angers me so much is that his opinion does not always correspond with mine..So I threw caution to the wind and dove in to see what he has to say.

I was right!

After only a few minutes in, I was all “FFS!!” with flushed cheeks and other rude testiculations flying about, but then an interesting thing happened.. I was also nodding in agreement, with a giggle and snort thrown in for good measure.

*skandaal*

Gareth actually has some interesting things to say.. and you know what. He says it in a very very funny way

Page 116 had me in tears of laughter at the mental image of a midget riding on his neck and how he believes we should all have a midget .. and that everyone was staring at him because they were just so jealous of him and his midget.

This slightly offended me.. not sure if it is because the word Midget is not PC or because he views ‘little people” as pets! But I laughed all the same.. crazy but true.

He has also included some of the more popularly published letters that he had written to The Government and to The Pope. And if you remember they were pretty top notch ramblings there alone.

Lots of really good stuff in there.. lots of really wicked stuff. Lots of Gareth Cliff.

My “Arsehole”

In Chapter One he declares – “Opinions are like Arseholes – Everyone has one”

So this is my “Arsehole about ‘Gareth Cliff On Everything’:

Buy the Book.. it is worth the few dollar on the price tag.

Why?!  Because I would say the book is a great coffee table book.. Honest, frank yet not to be taken too seriously but nice to flip through and a great conversation piece when you have a boring guest over
