That 17 years ago… the 10th of May 1994 – Nelson Mandela was sworn in as South Africa’s first black president!

I remember being pregnant and getting pushed to the front of the queue during those elections.. I won’t be able to  tell you who I voted for as I actually don’t remember anything much more than I needed to pee a lot.

A lot has changed since then.. not only in South Africa but personally for me too. Not all of it bad.. but not all of it good either.

Change is always hard, it causes sleepness nights and creates chaos for everyone involved. But if we can all just weather the storm, pull together and stay adrift till the waters calm, I am sure it will be OK. I am sure it will be better.

After all  – Life is a journey, so lets all try enjoy the ride…

    I remember watching the inauguration on TV, and about a week later we were at the Union Buildings and we were up on that huge podium coz it hadn’t been taken down yet.

    I was in STD 6 last year. I don’t actually remember anything. I can’t believe its been that long already!
