OMG x 2 million..
It started like a day like any other.. .. It started with the rising of the sun and the yells for the kids to get their lazy bums out of bed.. The day started with coffee.. It ended completely different though. It ended in far too much snogging to be declared decent, it ended in a whole bunch of OMG’s and it ended with the change of status. As stated here and here.. I am not a HUGE fan of Veeday as it is just unfair to place so much pressure on singles and couples alike to prove their love to each other by means of material goods and PDA’s.. However SexyG insisted we go out and he then booked us tickets (nonrefundable, I asked) at the Ushaka Aquarium Valentine’s Dinner. So we went It was actually totally awesome munching away while watching the...
V day – Smee Day…
I think that cupid should be shot in the ass, twice. This one day puts so much undue pressure on single and non single ppl everywhere. Pressure to perform, and the performance is not allowed to be of the singular action.. One needs to do this performance with another randomly pressured person until the masses are pleased that you have sufficiently drunk from the nectar of love and happy thoughts whereby you can avoid each other (awkwardly) for the rest of the year till the next V day.. *sigh* Happy V day everyone, I am sending each and every one of you hugs, kisses and naughty tickles.. 1 person likes this post. Farts in the mist..
Woke up this morning, and had a moment when I thought about making this my very last post of BecauseIcan.co.za. That moment is now over as I have realised I still have a bunch of shit to say.. <– #TrueStory I may not blog as much though for the next little while, as I attempt to get past Chapter One. BUT I just want to let you know how much I enjoy this medium in where I share the randomness of my existence and therefore not feel as lonely as all that. Share #1 - I like grapes, they are juicy and sweet and if you squish it and leave it in a wooden barrel for a little while they turn into an amazing beverage that gives me a very happy feeling.. Share #2 - my eldest brother whom I haven’t spoken to since my dad passed away in 2000 recently got...
Kull jou hier, Kull jou daar..
Happy Monday everyone, What a weekend, eh!? I learnt new and interesting things, including the fact that humans CAN defeat Zombies and that I can bake apple pie ! What I am ignoring is the fact that I melted one of my steak knives and that my feet hurt in a weird way. Before I leave you to tackle this insanely bothersome and demanding Monday, I want to leave you with this thought: “Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see” - Edgar Allan Poe Stay fabulous!!! Victim Week: Victim #5
This week is VICTIM week. Every day this week I will be releasing a post whereby I forced asked someone to answer my inane questions of stupidity and randomness. No small animals were hurt in this process and chocolates were used at times to keep the interviewees awake/attentive.. Our 5th and Final Victim is Megan of @meganstow fame… you can read all about Megan here and here. A hugely diverse and often password protected individual She recently exported herself from the sunshine and tequila of Durbs to the RatRace (ok, so they have tequila too) of JHB. (I might add that while she stayed in Durbs there were many threats of us meeting, but in true laid backed Durban style, this never materialised ..lol!) A soon to be mommy for the 2nd time and a...
