Happy Birthday…

Today is the day of birth for my mommie…

She loved her birthday… she did age very strangely though (was 21 for a loooooooong time)… But she absolutely LOVED her birthday!

Each year we would ask her what she wanted for her birthday and each year she would smile and have the same reply … “Good Children” and then break down in giggles..I think she knew what a ridiculous request it was..

We obviously didn’t succeed very well because she had to ask for it over and over again! lol… But I do remember buying her smellies and stuffed Pink Panthers and the sort and trying my best to be the “Good Children” she so obviously wanted… (this is a bit difficult when you are the youngest of far too many children)

So Mom, I know you are watching me all the time and I just wanted to let you know that I love you with every fibre of my being and I still try every day to be your “Good Children”…

….So HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY To You!

    That’s really sweet. My mother says something similar every year, even though we’re both grown up (well, my brother’s getting there)… “Peace and quiet and kids that don’t fight.”

    And every year I say, “What else.”

    “Nothing.”

    “Well then you’re going to get something you don’t want.”
