Supposed to be mushy…

February is synonymous with flowers, hearts, candy and all that other crap.

Most woman would say how they Hate all the mushiness and its all commercialized and they don’t go for that…

Don’t believe them… its a trap! They want you to surprise them with a romantic dinner, candles(<-not Eskom induced either) and some sparkly bits which they can use to adorn their fingers or neckline…

If you don’t surprise them or plan an event of momentous and expensive proportions.. and you actually believe them when they say they want nothing then they will quietly except this fact and life for you will be hard.. very, very hard.. And not the hard that you want either.. no – no – no.. that will go soft…very, very soft…

No one likes to admit that they fall for the folly of Valentines day… There I said it… the dreaded word Valentines Day.. That one day when you are at school and you don’t want to be the only girl who doesn’t get a card that you end up sending one to yourself and hope no one notices.. Or will encourage the advances of the geek in the office close to them time knowing that at least he will send you something and then you wont have to endure the day when all the binky’s hop around the place with their arm loads of chocolates and cards and flowers… Grrr..

I wish we would evolve and someone will tell that overgrown fat kid to put some dem clothes on and shove his arrows up his bum for all the misery he causes..

Valentines Day may be a day of Love.. But if you don’t have someone in your life it is a very long day that brings a very raw awareness to you about your single status…

And what about me??.. what do I want?
I am a girl.. and yes I want a dinner, candles, and sparkly bits… I want him to throw himself at me and show me how much he loves me …

And in doing so I can stop encouraging the advances of the office geek…
