Carnage under a tree…

So I finally put up the tree and it looked really really pretty for at least a few days…

Now it gives the appearance of being beaten repeatedly… only this assault was brought upon by little hands eager to strip the wrapping from pressies and see what it hides within for them.

So there it stands or should I say leans… in the lounge looking very sorry for itself. My mistake was putting presents in the tree expecting careful hands to pull them out 🙁 .

I have managed to divert their energy elsewhere at the moment, riding bikes, playing with cellphones, swimming in the pool, while I try to regain control of the home so that I may get the Christmas lunch together for them.

This morning while trying to prepare what I could for lunch I tried to teach my eldest how to make stuffing for the chicken and all I got for my efforts was “eeeeuuw!” I suppose making him mix in the raw egg was pushing it a little bit…

I do like Christmas because of the way it brings families closer even if for one day. Family is important to me, I had noticed as I got older my family got bigger.. But now it would appear it also gets smaller…

I miss my mom… I am sure she is watching me and loving me all day.. Doesn’t make me miss her any less though…

Well let me get back to my troops and give them all big hugs and kisses from head to toe so that they can tell their kids one day about how their mom left teeth marks in their bums on Christmas Day…

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE!!
